R.I.P. My Beloved Granny
Perhaps you didn't realize that I was gone for few days. Beside my scheduled posts, there were no updates on my Instagram, Pinterest, and I haven't replied some emails and comments yet.
My granny just passed away on October 4th after many years of being unwell. I knew that my granny wasn't the healthiest person. In fact, she had coronary heart disease. But it still was heart wrenching and turned me completely out of the blue. I cried a lot and really was not in the mood of doing this and that.
But I can't be like that forever. My granny would be really sad. So here I am now, still struggling to believe that she's gone.

Finally I got this thing!! Yaaaay my first time doing velvet nails with real flocking powder, not a DIY! I just accidentally found it in a small local craft store here in Jakarta. Wow, I thought flocking powders are nowhere to be found in Indonesia since I've never seen any of them before in any big local craft stores. So all this time you were hiding in that place, huh? Gotcha!
For today's manicure, I combine two texture.

For those who follow me on Instagram, you probably already know that today we have this...
Wow! I'm really excited about this event because few days ago I just created my first batik nails for the Day 26 of 31DC (you can see my full post about it here) and just couple days ago I barely knew that we, the Indonesian nail art lovers, have this on Instagram!! I surely don't wanna miss it!
The theme for this event is Mega Mendung. Never heard about it? Here, let me introduce you to our beautiful batik.
Batik is a cloth that is traditionally made using a manual wax-resist dyeing technique. We have so many kind of batik, there're Buketan (influenced by European flower bouquet), Mega Mendung (means cloudy, influenced by Chinese), Pucuk Tombak (means spearhead), etc.
