Ice Cream Mani and Etude House Ice Cream Nails Swatch

Hello everyone!!

I promised to make a swatch and review post from my Korean haul before so this is it, my first (again with "first time") swatch and review post!! But first thing first, of course, let's begin with nail art!!

Polishes I used:
OPI Natural Nail Base Coat
Etude House Ice Cream Nails OR201 (thumb)
Etude House Ice Cream Nails GR701 (index)
Etude House Ice Cream Nails PK001 (middle)
Etude House Ice Cream Nails BE101 (ring)
Etude House Ice Cream Nails PP501 (pinkie)
Etude House Ice Cream Nails BR401 (chocolate sauce)
Revlon Super Top Speed 60 Second Top Coat

Now is time for swatch and review!
This is my first time swatching and reviewing so I hope it's not really... strange?
Here we go!

Today I begin with my Etude House Ice Cream Nails collection. Speaking of Etude House, it reminds me of my local tour guide when I was in Korea. He always said "Attitude House" instead of saying "Etude House". And I always laughed that time. Always. Even now as I'm typing this up. Hahhahaha! Well, he's a guy so I think it's normal to know nothing about that Korean cosmetic brand, although he's a Korean.

Etude House Ice Cream Nails, as its name, has a really cute ice cream cone packaging and wonderful yummy colors that I can't resist. Too bad I didn't get the blue mint one because it's sold out in every stores I visited. Aaaargh that one is my favourite!!

For this swatches, I used OPI Natural Nail Base Coat and I skipped top coat to see how their real shine are. Their formula is rather thick and goopy but fortunately the polishes went on quite smoothly on my nails and some were opaque enough in one coat. I've read some reviews of these polishes and a lot of people don't really like the application because the cone shaped handle is lightweight and a little hard to hold. But I didn't have any trouble with the application as I'm quite comfortable with their wide brushes and those cute cone shaped handles. One thing I don't like about these polishes is they have very strong chemical smell. This is the first time I got a little dizzy after applying nail polish. I even wore my dad's extra surgical mask (my dad is a doctor) to cover my nose.

Etude House Ice Cream Nails OR201, two coats.

Etude House Ice Cream Nails GR 701, two coats

Etude House Ice Cream Nails PK001, one coat.

Etude House Ice Cream Nails BE101, two coats.

Etude House Ice Cream Nails PP501, one coat.

Etude House Ice Cream Nails BR401, two coats (I did french manicure first to test the opaqueness... Opaqueness?.. Opacity?... Whatever.)

Overall, I love everyone of them. Really love their colors, really love their seriously-I-can't-resist ice cream shape, don't have any problem with the application. And I didn't have any significant chipping problems. Oh, and they're cheap! Insanely cheap!! Retails for 2,000 won which is around $2 per bottle and there was 1+1 (buy one get one free) deal going on. Wow! Seriously! $1 for one bottle of nail polish! How insanely insane that is! One thing I hate about them is their very strong chemical smell. Well, let's say it's the trade-off for the super low cost.

Have you ever tried any of them? And what do you think? Let me know in the comments below.

Well, that's all guys. I hope you enjoyed my first nail art+swatch+review post.

God bless you

N.A.I.L. - Theme 1: Sun

Well, let's say after I finished a 31 days daily challenge (in my case, OMD Challenge) (and I won the prize!! Praise the Lord!!), I've become so addicted to challenge!! Hahhaha

This time, I'm joining another challenge called N.A.I.L (Nail Art Ideas Linkup) hosted by Craftynail, Eeeek Nail Polish, and Brijits Digits, the same people who hosted the OMD Super Awesome Rather Awesome Challenge.

Okay, let's just start!

N.A.I.L. Theme 1: Sun

Yihaaaa for the first time of my life my cuticle looks *I thought* clean.

Is "Hey, I've ever seen that blue-pink gradient before!" on your mind? Hahaaa remember my previous post? Actually I just painted the sun (if it doesn't look like sun, let's just call it sun-looked-alike!) over my previous post mani. It's just because I really really love that pink and blue gradient but I really really hate the bubbles. So I decided to paint something (anything!!) over it to make the bubbles less visible (well, I still can see them so much clearly though --")

Okay, that's all for today! Thanks for reading and I hope you guys enjoyed it :D

God bless you

Thursday Challenge - Pastel Gradient

Yup, more nail art challenge!
This time I'm joining Monday-Thursday Challenge by Nail Polish Challenge. The theme is pastel gradient.

This is what I came up with.

I used Skin Food Milk Creamy Nail polishes in BL001 (blue) and PK007 (pink) for this look. This is the first time I tried to use Korean brand polishes and they gave me bad impressions. Look how horrible the bubbles on my nails are! And they smell really bad! They have really strong chemical smell. This is the first time I got dizzy after applying nail polish. But but buuut I really love their colors and the bottle is soooo adorable. Look how cute the bottle is! They shaped like a milk bottle since this is Milk Creamy Nail Collection (see the full collection on my Korean Haul post).

Well, that's all for today guys! I hope you enjoyed it.

God bless you

Summer Fun Challenge - Theme Park/Ride

Yiihaaaa another challenge!

Well, let's say I've become addicted to challenge and now I decided to join this Summer Fun Challenge by The Hobby Polish Bloggers.

The first theme is - Inspired by a Theme Park/Ride

When I was on my South Korea vacation, I went to Everland and tried the T-Express ride. Have you ever heard about that ride before? It's a wooden roller coaster and it's aaahmazing! Seriously, you have to try it when you go to Korea. So for this challenge, I decided to make a mani inspired by T-Express.

I hope you guys enjoyed it :D

God bless you

I'm Back Home!! (Haul)

Yiihaaaa!! Hello everyone!

It's really good to be blogging again! Yup, I'm back from South Korea! Actually I got home last night but I had zero energy and fell asleep right away. Although I had a really great time there, coming back home is still greater. Home sweet home, baby! Well, I'm still pretty tired now but I'm too excited to share things I bought from Seoul with you.

Well, let this haul post started!

Yup, they're all nail products, except that Ésfolio Aloe Vera. I'm not a big spender so for me this is a LOT.

Good thing about shopping cosmetics in Korea is you'll get some free gifts after purchasing. These are some free samples I got.

This is a stuff I bought from Lotte Duty Free Shop. And it's not a Korean product.
This is...

Yup, OPI Euro Centrale. I know, I know, this is too late! But I really love this collection and since it's much cheaper here than in Indonesia, I couldn't hold myself from buying (Well, actually my dad bought them for me :p You rock, Dad!)

These are some The Face Shop nail polishes. From left to right: GL112, PP401, PP401 again (I don't know, maybe they stuck the wrong name tag on one of the bottles), 05, Magic Magnet - BK901, Magic Magnet - GR501

One set of Skin Food Milk Creamy Nail Collection with free additional Skin Food Aloe Mask Sheets.

These are Etude House Juicy Cocktail - Screw Driver (left) and Juicy Cocktail - Lime Squash (right). They're for gradient nails.

Etude House Nail & Body Painting - Warming Lemon. I really love that super neon yellow! Well, thanks to my camera and the lighting it looks more like a pastel yelllow than a neon yellow --" But trust me, it's really neon and really bright!

Etude House Bling in the Sea. They come in shimmery clear nail polish (WH901), turquoise glitter polish (I can't find the code), and blue glitter polish (can't find the code too).

Etude House Ice Cream Colors. From left to right: PP501, PK001, OR201, BR401, GR701, BE101.

Etude House PBE102, BK801, BL601.

Here are some nail treatment products. Etude House Help My Finger Sunshine Whitener, The Odbo Nail Balm, Etude House Help My Finger Milk Strong, Etude House Help My Finger Essence Spa. The funny part is, the Etude House Sunshine Whitener and Milk Strong are made in France. Yup, it's written on the back of the bottles. My first thought is, "Is it mistyped or something?"

These are Etude House Sweet Seven Way Buffer, The Face Shop - Face it Magic Magnet, and Etude House Cuticle Nipper.

Ésfolio Moisture Soothing Gel Aloe Vera. They said you can use it for your face, for your hand, for your body, and even for your hair, to moisturize them.

Well, those are all I bought from South Korea and I haven't tried to use them. Maybe I could do swatch and review posts, but some other time. Definitely not today. I'm waaaay too tired.
I hope you enjoyed it girls!
